Quotes
"Fools talk, cowards are silent, wise men listen."
“People tend to complicate their own lives, as if living weren't already complicated enough.”
“Memories are worse than bullets.”
“The moment you stop to think about whether you love someone, you've already stopped loving that person forever.”
My Take
Everything about this novel is smooth, the language rhymes perfectly with turns and twist of plot. Carlos takes you to the ups and downs of Barcelona, it's characters, that lift from pages, and are engraved in your mind even when you drop the book. It is gripping, complicated, and at every point maintains fascination of the reader. One of the best read I had this year!
****/***** (4/5)
